Johnny Pennington age 73 of Fries, Virginia passed away Monday, May 5, 2014 at his home.

Mr. Pennington was born in Grayson County, Virginia on March 7, 1941 to Guy Everette and Laura Eller Pennington. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Helen King and Danish McKnight and two nephews Charles Eugene McKnight, Jr.(FAG # 101694957) and Stevie King.

Mr. Pennington proudly served our country in the US Army.

He is survived by his wife Norma Tomlinson Pennington; daughter Susie Bailey; grandson Specialist Christopher Spears; great-grandchildren Jaden and Joey; brother Jimmy Pennington; brother-in-law Robert "Wimpy" King; four nieces and seven nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Bill Shupe officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Military Rites by the Grayson VFW Post 7726.
