MRS. GRACE BENTLEY
WINCHENDON — Mrs. Grace "Penny" Bentley, 60, of 35 Goodrich St., died Saturday in Burbank Hospital, Fitchburg, after a long illness. She was the wife of Warren N. Bentley, a native of Leominster and athletic director at Murdock High School.
She was born Nov. 24,1916, in Franklin, the daughter of the late Lewis H. and Edna (Winters) Pendleton and lived in Winchendon for 32 years.
Mrs. Bentley was a member of the North Congregational Church, the Women's Fellowship of the United Parish and the Winchendon Garden Club.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, William N. Bentley of South Portland, Me.; a daughter. Miss Laurie E. Bentley of Franklin; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Swenson of City Mills, Mrs. Helen Swenson of East Douglas and Mrs. Dorothy Robinson of Concord, N.H.; two grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Fletcher Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. H. Milton Bartlett will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster.
Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
