Mrs. Nora Ann Barnes, 87, Route 1, Campbellsville, died at the Metzmeier Nursing Home Friday, August 25, at 8:45 a.m. Mrs. Barnes was born February 11, 1885, daughter of Mary E. Elkins and Green Pendleton. She was married to George Lesley Barnes in 1903 and he preceded her in death in 1965. Eleven children survive: Mrs. Estel (Mae) Cox, Oakland, Ill.; Evan Barnes, Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. Marion (Elsie) Read, Hope, Ind.; Charles Barnes, Mrs. Howard (Goldie) Sanders and Mrs. Edward (Berdie) Rohe, all of Louisville; Mrs. Lloyd (Ruby) Jones, Valley Station; Garnett, Leonard, Ivan and Kelsey (Bugg) Barnes, all of Campbellsville. Also surviving are 35 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and a half-brother, Edgar Pendleton, of Louisville. Three children precede her in death: John Owen and Bill Barnes and Mrs. Mary Gilpin. Funeral services were conducted at the Lyon Funeral Home Chapel Sunday, August 27, at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. D. L. Druien with burial in Brookside. Pallbearers: Charles, Cecil, and R. T. Gilpin, Wilbur and Larry Barnes, and Junior Cox.

William Elmer Barnes, May 6, 1918 to Jun 24, 1965. Married Bessie Marie Berry. He died of a tumor and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, Ky.

Charles A Barnes, Mar 4, 1920 to Mar 8, 2002, buried in Highland Memory Gardens in Bullitt County, Ky. He was a veteran and retired from the old Louisville Cooperage Co.

Ivan Thomas Barnes 1921 to 2008, buried here.

Goldie L Sanders, Jul 19, 1923 to Jun 19, 1998. Married Howard Sanders. They are buried in Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, Ky.

Riley J Barnes born May 21, 1924. I think this one died in infancy since he's not on the census reports with them. Kelsay's obit mentioned a sibling name John Owen Barnes dying in infancy which is probably this one. BC gives name as Riley J.

Bertie M Rohe, Aug 13, 1927 to Jul 19, 2013, buried in Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem, IN. Married to Edward C Rohe.
