Buried next to husband Capt. Abraham Colvalt who was killed by Indians March 1791 and by son Abraham Colvalt Jr. who had been killed by Indians Jan. 1791.

Mother of Adam, Mary (Jones), Abraham Jr., Timothy and perhaps others.(Her daughter, Mary, remembered her as 'a true child of God."] Lois married Captain Abraham Covalt [pronounced "Co-Alt and Co-Al"], 28 March 1763 Bound Brook, Somerset County, New Jersey. They were married in the Baptist faith by Rev. Elkanah Fuller. Abraham Covalt was a British soldier during the Storming of Martinique circa 1762. After marriage the couple had migrated to Bedford Co., PA. where they remained until 1790. By 1791, Captain Covalt was killed at Anderson by the Indians, leaving his wife and children in the wilderness. Their youngest child was just five years old when the captain died.
