Jack Davis Pemelton passed away following a short illness at the age of 77.
Jack was born to Loid Edgar and Cora Alice (Duncan) Pemelton. The family moved to Napa Valley, California in 1937 and settled in the valley where he was educated and graduated from Napa Valley High School in 1953.
He married Janet Carol Johnson on April 5, 1955 in Yuma, Arizona. They lived in San Francisco and Modesto, California, and Reno, Nevada and then moved to Elko, Nevada in 1982 and on to Crescent Valley, Nevada in 1993.
Jack held several jobs in his life, from insurance salesman, car parts manager, to business owner. His most famous occupation was that of Diesel Electrician. Jack was the favorite diesel electrician of choice for truckers around the country. Jack has been semi-retired since 1993, but still hauled freight for his son's business, Elko Overhead Door.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years in 2003 Janet, and a brother Loid Jr. in 1957. He is survived by his four children, daughters Rodinna Frost and her husband Stephen of Liberty, Missouri, Radonya Mann and her husband Leroy of Camas, Washington, Roberta White and her husband Jerry of Spring Creek, Nevada, and son Sam Pemelton of Spring Creek, Nevada, and two brothers Merle Pemelton of Grants Pass, Oregon and Earl Pemelton of Winnemucca, Nevada; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren with one great-great grandchild on the way. He has numerous nieces and nephews. There are still uncles and aunts of his mother Cora Alice and his father Loid living in California, Ohio and Illinois.
Cremated, Location of ashes is unknown.
