Mrs. Pemelton owned and operated an R.V. Park, The Vogue, for many years with her husband, Paul.
Survivors included her loving husband of 64 years, Paul Pemelton; sons, Billy Gene Pemelton and wife Mischellene and James Pemelton; daughter, Paula Kay (Pemelton) Heggen and husband Allen Heggen, all of Mercedes; one sister, Billie (Riley) Ryan and husband Bill Joe Ryan of Mercedes; and one sister-in-law, Janet Riley of McAllen, Texas; nine grandchildren: Bill Pemelton, Jr., Julie Cooke, Destiny and Laredo Pemelton, Kelly Pemelton, Jeff Pemelton, Austin Pemelton, Trent Heggen and Kristi Heggen-Elizondo; twelve great-grandchildren; and a devoted companion, Amelia Gonzales.
Mrs. Pemelton was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a friend to all who met her and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services were held today, Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at the Rudy Garza Funeral Home Chapel of Peace, in Mercedes, with Minister Bill Roach officiating. Pallbearers were grandsons Bill Pemelton, Jr., Kelly Pemelton, Jeff Pemelton, Trent Heggen, Austin Pemelton, Ben Elizondo and Vattell Cooke. Interment followed at Ebony Grove Cemetery in Mercedes, TX.
