Joyce was the daughter of Ray and Orpha (Collins) Pemberton. On May 21, 1955 Joyce married her sweetheart James Ray "Jim" Cannon and they have had fifty-one years together.
Preceding Joyce in death was her parents.
Survivors include her husband Jim; one son and daughter-in-law Joe K. and Rebecca Cannon; two brothers Kenneth and wife Frances Pemberton and Donald and wife Sue Pemberton; sister Naomi Williams and husband Wayne; four grandchildren Julie Ann and Joe "Bubba" Cannon Jr., Julie Robin Graham and Jennifer Jones; 5 great grandchildren Courtney, Carley, Cadey Graham, Andrew and Taylor Jones.
