Rites In Houston For Mrs. Dickerman
Funeral services for Mrs. Maude Dickerman, 92, mother of Mrs. Myrtle Tombaugh of Lampasas, were conducted Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. in Forest Park Chapel, Houston. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Dickerman died early Monday in a Temple nursing home.
Born Maude Cannon Pelton Nov. 22, 1877 in Corsicana, she was married to Charles Lyman Dickerman in 1894 at Gainesville. The family moved to Houston in 1912 and in 1956 she moved to Temple. She was a member of the Second Christian Church of Houston, a member of the Palm Center branch of the nationally-affiliated Grandmothers' Club, and a member of Woodman Circle, Grove 74 of Houston.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Tombaugh and Mrs. Fern Ploeck of Houston; nine grandchildren including Don Tombaugh and Charles Tombaugh of Lampasas; 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
