Born June 2, 1913, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late Harry Milton and Lilla Susanna (Shade) Peightal.
She married Jay Theodore Coffman Nov. 30, 1928, in Maryland, with the Rev. CR. Stràusburg officiating. Mr. Coffman preceded her in death in March 1988.
Surviving are one son and one daughter: Jay 0. Coffman and Mrs. Thomas (Pauline L.) Yarnell, both of Huntingdon, RD. 1.
There are four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. One brother, Richard Peightal of Huntingdon, survives.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister: William Peightal, Frederick M. Peightal Sr., and Anna (Peightal) Mountain. She was also preceded in death by a brother and sister in infancy: John and Mary Peightal.
Mrs. Coffman was a member of the Stone Church of the Brethren, Huntingdon. She attended the Huntingdon public schools and retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas in Huntingdon, where she was employed in the twist and ply department.
She enjoyed bingo, television, needlecraft and traveling.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday. Sept. 5, at 2 p.m., at the John B. Brown Funeral Home, Huntingdon, with the Rev. Dale W. Dowdy and the Rev. Christy L. Dowdy officiating.
Interment will be made in the Huntingdon Memorial Gardens, Walker Township, Huntingdon, PA.
