Maxine Pegram Greene, of Stony Creek, VA, died at the Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, VA. She was a life long resident of Stony Creek, VA and was a graduate of the Southside High School Class of 1957 (Dinwiddie County, VA). She retired with many years of dedicated service as a housekeeping supervisor from the Southside Virginia Training Center, Petersburg, VA.

At an early age, Maxine confessed the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and became a member of the Little Bethel Baptist Church, Stony Creek, VA. There she served the Lord in what ever capacity she could. She served as a member of the Deaconess Ministry, Missionary Ministry and a former member of the Combined Choir.

A homegoing service was held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, at the Little Bethel Baptist Church, Stony Creek, VA.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the staff of the Joseph M. Johnson & Son Funeral Home, McKenney, VA.
