Pedrea (Pedersen) Andersen, daughter of Christian and Karen Bruun Pedersen, was born May 31, 1887, at Lunde, Denmark, and passed away on July 22, 1982, at the Horn Memorial Hospital, Ida Grove, Iowa. Services were held at the United Presbyterian Church at Battle Creek, Iowa, with Rev. James Krapf officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Ida County, Battle Creek, Iowa.

Prior to her marriage, Pedrea worked in California for 3 years as a domestic.

She came to America in 1910, and met her future husband on the ship. She married Nels Laurits (Lars) Andersen March 23, 1916, in the Danish Church in Omaha, Nebraska. They farmed in the Battle Creek area until they retired to town in 1954. He died in 1974. They had celebrated their 50th anniversary in 1967.

Survivors include a son, Irving of Correctionville, Iowa; a daughter, Mrs. Gary (Ardis) Hartmann of Akron, Iowa; a brother, Karl of Washington, D. C.; and 2 grandchildren.
