Minnie Watson Bean, 92, of Indianapolis, passed away 6:30 AM, Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at Spring Mill Meadows Health Care Center in Indianapolis.
Funeral services will be 12 PM, Saturday, December 9, 2006, at Vance~Fisher~Sawyer Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ron Norris officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM to time of service Saturday.
Born October 15, 1914, in North Vernon, she was the daughter of Emmanuel and Ardella Mitchell Peck. She married Walter D. Bean January 2, 1981 in Cleveland, OH, he survives.
Mrs. Bean had attended Cyuhoga Community College in Cleveland, OH, she retired in 1979 from the Shaker Heights School System in Ohio, where she was the Cafeteria Manager for many years. Mrs. Bean was a member of the Second United Methodist Church and she enjoyed fishing, flowers, crocheting and cooking.
Mrs. Bean is survived by her husband, Walter of Indianapolis, a daughter, Patricia Jenkins of Aurora, CO, a sister, Bertha Peck of Columbus, and two grandchildren, Robert Lee Jenkins of Indianapolis and Joseph "Cooley" Jenkins of Birmingham, AL, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Mary Ann Watson Wade, a step-son, Kenneth Bean, two sisters, Louise Smith and Mary Lyle, and one brother, Chester Peck.
