Birth: Nov. 22, 1917
Johnson County
Kansas, USA
Death: Apr. 10, 2003

Dorothy's parents are Velma Opal (Spiva) and James Arthur Pearson. She married Wilber Rowin Bridges, son of Edna Eliza (Robertson) and James Coleman Bridges, on March 23, 1935.

Their children:

Wilber Rowin, Jr., born December 26, 1936, in Kansas City, Kansas.

Rebecca Sue, born May 2, 1946, in Kansas City, Kansas.

The following article was in the Versailles (Missouri) Leader about Dorothy and Wilber's wedding in 1935:

"Miss Dorothy Pearson and Mr. Wilber R. Bridges, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Bridges, were married at 8 o'clock last night at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack A. Pearson. A white lattice archway, with gate a-jar, flanked by palms and ferns formed a garden setting in the living room. Dr. C. E. Draper, pastor of the Quindaro Methodist church, read the nuptial service. Mrs. George W. Mears played the wedding music.

The bride wore a floor length gown of aqua blue satin-back crepe fashioned with high draped neckline and long, fitted sleeves. She carried a shower bouquet of rapture roses and in her hair wore a tiara of rapture rose buds. Miss June Browning was Miss Pearson's only attendant. Her gown of peach-colored organdy over satin, of the same shade, was styled like that of the bride. Her flowers were sublime roses. Mr. Joe Vaughn was best man for Mr. Bridges.

A reception for fifty guests was held following the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Bridges received with Mr. and Mrs. Pearson. The 3-tier bride's cake, encircled by pansies and sweet peas, centered the dining table which was laid with an ecru lace cloth over pink. Over the table was suspended an illuminated white wedding bell with a shower of lilies of the valley.

After a short wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Wilber R. Bridges will be at home in Kansas City, Kansas."

At the time of Dorothy's death in 2003, her second husband, Charles M. Phillips survived at the home.
