Margaret Irene Sullivan was the daughter of Coleman Sullivan and Hannah "Nora" Lee.

Margaret married Richard Stanton Pearson, son of William Hansford Pearson and Ella Payne. Until his death in 1978, they raised a total of 8 children.

Their 9th child, Antoinette Jean Pearson, was stillborn in 1972 and subsequently cremated. Antoinette's ashes were scattered in their home state of Arizona so that, "every time the wind blew," her mother would know she was close by.

Her eldest daughter, Patricia Agnes Pearson Childs, died in 1977 along with three of her grandchildren.

The next year, she lost her husband. After her husband's death, Margaret helped to raise not only her children, but many of her grandchildren as well.

She was patient and had an excellent sense of humor. Margaret was very well read and she kept up on current events by listening to the radio. She hardly ever lost at games of trivia. She was completely blind as an adult, but was impressively very independent.

She was cremated and her ashes were buried in the same plot where her husband is buried.

She was survived by 7 of her 9 children.
