Funeral services for George W. Pearsol will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at Sherman W. Mason Funeral Home, 201 N. First St., Jeannette. Rev. Richard J. Barriss will officiate. Interment will follow in Irwin Union Cemetery. Pearsol, 68, 820 Gaskill Ave., Jeannette, died late Friday afternoon in Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a lengthy illness. He was a retired employee of American St. Gobain Glass Co., Jeannette. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Carnathan Pearsol; the following children, Mrs. Thelma Nichols, Whiting, N.J.; George E., with the U.S. Navy in Hawaii; Mrs. Margaret McElroy, Hawaii; Elmer, Dennis, Emma Mae, Louis and Clyde, all at home; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Aurelia Wekerly, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Sadie Harriety, Jeannette; three brothers, Frank, Elliotsville; A.L. and Charles, both of Jeannette; a number of nieces and nephews. Friends are being received at the funeral home, 2-5, 7-10.
