Jeremiah S. Pearsall,died at the residence of his daughter,Mrs. E. McDermott,in Ottumwa, Iowa,at 6 o'clock p.m.,May 25th. He was born in Albany,N.Y.,in the year 1804,at the time of his death being 91 years of age. He united with the M.E. church in 1835 and had been a member ever since. The cause of death was blood poisoning,coming from an injured arm. The deceased was a resident of Port Byron for many years, but something like 16 years ago moved away. The remains were interred in Pleasant Point cemetery,a short service being conducted at the grave by Rev. Thompson.
