Frankie Melton, Former Resident, 84, Dies
Frankie Melton, 84, a resident of Oregon, Ill., a fomer resident of Wayne county, died Wdnesday in the White Pines Manor in Oregon.
She used to live in the Cisne-Wayne City areas.
Services Saturday
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bailey Cemetery north of Wayne City.
Friends may all at the Richardson's Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Friday.
She was born in Cisne, Aug. 24, 1895, the daughter of Frank and Gennie (Turner) Pearce.
She was married in 1915 to Blaine Melton, who died in 1951.
She and her husband lived in Wayne County. After his death, she moved away.
The Survivors
Surviving are one son, Pearce, of Lemon Grove, Calif.; three foster children who she raised, Galyn, Denise and Valerie Clark; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, a brother and three sisters.
