Mrs W. C. Pearce,78, a native of Thornton and Wife of the late W. C. Pearce, died today in Memorial Hospital. She had lived here at 1703 Sycamore for 40 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held at Westside Church of Christ at 2 p.m. Saturday with Earl Craig officiating, and burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Surviving are a brother, J. R. Manning of Mexia; six sisters, Mrs. C. R. Thomas and Mrs. G. L. Howton of Conroe and Mrs Emma Roach, Mrs Jess Ford, Mrs Ruby McCravey and Mrs W. H. Tipping of Groesbeck, several nieces and nephews.
