Howard passed away at his home in Milwaukie on June 7th, 2012 at the age of 84. He was born in Portland, OR and attended Oak Grove Elementary School before going on to graduate from Milwaukie High School. He also attended Multnomah Bible School. On March 16th, 1951 he and Carolyn Curtis were joined in marriage at the Evangelical Baptist Church.
It was in 1951 when Howard became pastor of the Carver Church. He was instrumental in helping them locate the winery that they later transformed into the church. He was very active in the Columbia Speedboat Club and Elks Lodge organizations. He also performed magic shows in various churches, which he called "Magic with a Message." He built the old Peach Building in downtown Milwaukie, and worked with his father in Peach Appliances before going on to operate several businesses of his own, including Milwaukie Hardware. He was beloved by many, and will be greatly missed by his wife and family.
Howard is survived by his wife Carolyn Peach, and by his son Howard Peach, Jr. of Broken Arrow, OK, daughter Rebecca (Marion) Harvey of Milwaukie, OR and son Douglas Peach of Portland, OR. He is also survived by his sister Mildred Sanwick of Milwaukie, OR. He is further survived by 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford & Foncie Peach, and by his brother Stanley Peach.
