SHREVEPORT, LA -- Services for Mrs. Avis Payne Adrigam will be held Friday, October 12, 2001 at 2 p.m. at New Hope Methodist Church in Dodson, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Ken Murry, pastor of First Church of the Nazarene where Avis was a member and Rev. Robert Leach. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel.
Avis was born January 13, 1907 in Winn Parish, LA and was a resident of Shreveport for 65 years. She and her husband owned and operated Herman's Diner in downtown Shreveport for many years. Mrs. Adrigam passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2001.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Adrigam; parents, Buddy and Martha Payne; two sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her sisters, Sue Leach of Dodson, LA, Laura Bonnette of Ruston, LA, Lavern Simmons of Shelbyville, TN, Ollie Kelly and husband, Clomer of Shreveport, LA; brother, I. B. Payne and wife Peggy of Bossier City, LA and many loving nieces and nephews.
