Mrs. Annie Margaret Paulsen, 83, widow of August A. Paulsen, former mayor, passed away at 6 a.m. today at her home, 709 Fourth Street, Kiel. She was born in the town of New Holstein, Calumet county, on Feb. 27, 1867, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Abrahams. She attended district school No. 1, in that township and studied art and music at the Silver Lake Convent near Manitowoc. She was married to Mr. Paulsen on Sept. 10, 1889. The couple lived on a farm in the town of New Holstein until moving to Kiel in Oct. 19, 1905. Mr. Paulsen died on Oct. 19, 1932. Mrs. Paulsen was a member of the Kiel Fraunverein and Rebekah lodge.
The survivors include a son, Edgar, of Kiel; a sister, Mrs. H. A. Kuenne of Milwaukee and a brother, Henry Abrahams of Milwaukee.
Funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian church with the Rev. Ernest Nelson officiating. Burial will be made in the New Holstein cemetery.
