Paul, Howard Monroe Sr, 73, of Perryville, died March 19, 1985. He was born March 19, 1912, a son of Walter A Paul and Lillie Dawkins Paul. He was a retired merchant, a deacon of the Perryville First Baptist Church and past master of Perryville masonic Lodge No 238 where he was a 32nd degree Mason. He was a state Review Board director for the Welfare Dept and worked for the Farmers Home Administration. Survivors include his wife, Grace Tarvin Paul; one son, Howrd Paul, Jr., of Perryville; 4 daughters, Jackie Myers and Janice Williams, both of Little Rock; Jeanette McClenning of Camden and Nancy Baker Smith of Fairfax, Virginia; one stepson, Ed Davis of Little Rock; 2 stepdaughters, Joan Burge of Little Rock and JanieSuratt of Louisville, Kentucky; 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 10 am Friday at the Perryville First Baptist church by Rev. Jim Fowler and Rev. Horace Gray. Masonic graveside rites were at Perryville Cemetery. Burial was by Harris Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Larry Tarvin, Orval Jean Brazil, Hank Browne, Joel Woolf, Don Finkbeiner and Ronnie Finkbeiner. Honorary pallbearers were Loyd House, Floyd Stone, Artry Tarvin, David Leach, Eugene Brazil, Brose Canant and Bob Cannon.
