Mrs. Gracie Viola Dorsey, age 85, a resident of Horatio, died Friday, July 14, 2006 in the Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas.

She was born Dec. 21, 1920 in Lequire, Okla. to Thomas Henry and Laura Beatrice Cox Patton, was a retired employee of Mountaire Poultry and a member of Horatio Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charley Ellis Dorsey on August 12, 2000; and one son, Gary Lee Dorsey.

She is survived by one son, Randy Dorsey of Horatio; three daughters, Wanda Faye Edens of De Queen, Mary Ellen Hudson of Foreman and Fenora Louise Watkins of De Queen; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grand-children.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 18 in the Horatio Assembly of God Church with Rev. J.L. Walker and Rev. Ralph Staggs officiating. Burial followed in the Clear Creek Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 17 at the funeral home.
