Born in Delta County, a daughter of Elton and Anna Carr Dawson, she was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Surviving are four brothers, Rev. Wade Dawson and Elmore Dawson, both of Oklahoma City, OK, Freddie Dawson of Pauls Valley and Rev. Charles Dawson of Dallas; two sisters, Geneva Williams and Oma Johnson, both of Los Angeles, CA."
