She was born in Albany, GA a daughter of William Welch Patterson and Lillian Mallard Patterson on Sunday, July 21, 1912.
Mrs. Fike was a graduate of Memminger High School.
She was a secretary with the Geer Drug Company for many years and was formerly employed by the Chamber of Commerce as well as the News and Courier.She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church for eighty-six years and was a former superintendent of the Sunday School Primary Department.
Surviving are a daughter, Margaret Sue Fike of Charleston; three nieces, Pat Lovelace of Columbia, Anna Fike -Manning of Brooklyn, NY, Frankie Alvarado of Vicksburg, MS; one nephew, Joe Fike , Jr. and a cousin, Janice Hines both of Charleston.
The relatives and friends of Sue P. Fike are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Friday February 25, 2005 at the Graveside, Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. this Thursday evening between the hours of 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
