Glenn E. Patterson, Sr., age 81, of Mosheim, died early Monday morning, April 14, 2014, at Takoma Regional Hospital.

He was an employee of Weavexx for 25 years and a veteran of Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years: Christine Patterson; two sons: Glenn E. Patterson, Jr., and Charles Patterson and his fiancé: Allison Klepper; one grandson: Glenn S. Patterson; one granddaughter: Lauren Bailey; five great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; one brother: Walter S. Patterson, Jr.; one nephew: Jimmy Patterson.

He was preceded in death by one son: Luther S. Patterson; parents: Walter and Elizabeth Patterson.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. The Rev. Tommy Malone will officiate. The Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee National Guard will convey military honors. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery.

Family and friends will be pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
