Mr. William "Bill" Patterson, age 70, of Raleigh, North Carolina, formerly of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, February 22, 1998 in a Raleigh hospital.
Mr. Patterson was born in Union County, Georgia, on May 17, 1927 a son of the late William H. Patterson and Lillie Elliott Patterson. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served in Korea and Germany. Mr. Patterson was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are his wife, Liselotte Patterson, of Raleigh; son, Richard H. Patterson, and daughter, Deloris P., Owens, both of Raleigh; brothers, Eugene and Herbert Patterson, both of Blairsville; sisters, Ruth Patterson and Geneva Cook, both of Blairsville, and Pat Tinnaro of Tamp, FL.; grandsons, Michael Christian Owens, and Ian Richard Owens.
Funeral services were held Thursday, February 26, 1998 at 2 p.m. from Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Potts officiating. Special music was presented by The Faith Singers. The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Michael Owens, Ian Owens, Wesley Carroll, Michael Carroll, Roy Cook, Jr., and Duane Patterson. Interment was in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.
