LAST RITES HELD FOR A.E. PATRICK
(page 1)

Deceased Had Been Resident Of Phillips County For 31 Years

Funeral services were held from the Baptist church Wednesday afternoon for A.E. Patrick, 77, who died Monday morning at his home in Holyoke after having been in ill health for some time. Rev. J.W. Bailey, pastor of the Baptist church, preached the funeral sermon, and interment was made in the Holyoke cemetery.

Mr. Patrick had been an almost continuous resident of Phillips County since 1903, when he came here with his family. A few years ago they lived in Oregon for a short time.

Mr. Patrick was born at Union Mills, La Porte County, Indiana, and was educated and grew to manhood there. While still a resident of that place he was married to Ida T. Zinn. Later the family moved to Seward County, Nebraska, where they made their home for 17 years, and then moved to Phillips County.

Surviving are the widow, one son, George of Boulder, Wyoming, and four daughters, Mrs. Jesse Presba, Mrs. C.P. Peterson and Mrs. Albert Miller of Holyoke and Mrs. Carl Shuler of Lincoln, Nebraska.

OBITUARY (page 5)
Albert Edward Patrick was born November 22, 1856 at Union Mills, LaPorte County, Indiana, and departed this life at his home in Holyoke April 23, 1934, at the age of 77 years 5 months and one day.

It was in Union Mills that he grew to manhood and received his education. It was here that he met and married Miss Ida T. Zinn and where the happy couple spent the first years of their happy life.

To this happy union were born eight children: the first two died in infancy. Then came George now of Boulder, Wyoming; Ada who died at the age of two and a half years; Mrs. Jesse Presba (Bessie Gay Partick Presba) of Holyoke; Mrs. C.L. Shuler, of Lincoln, Nebraska; Mrs. C.P. Peterson of Holyoke and Mrs. Albert Miller of Holyoke.

From Union Mills the family moved to Seward County, Nebraska, where they resided for seventeen years. From Seward they moved to Phelps County, Nebraska, where they lived for five years, and where they moved from to Holyoke, Colorado where they have resided for thirty-one years, coming here February 27, 1903.

Mr. Patrick was one of the pioneer farmers of Phillips County. He was always a very industrious and hard working man. Always a most neighborly neighbor, a true friend, a loyal husband, a faithful father, and one that will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Words fail in express our great loss.
