1/9/1969- Tuttle Times:
Funeral services were held Thursday at 2pm in the Sowers Memorial chapel of the Sevier's funeral home at Tuttle, for Mrs Lina Jenkins, 94, who died in Grady Memorial hospital following an illness of 4 weeks. Rev R.L. Lampkin of Oklahoma City, officiated. Mrs Jenkins was born 9/26/1874 near Birmingham, Ala, and moved near Granite, I.T., in the late 1800's. She moved to Tuttle in 1935. She was a member of Zinns Chapel Presbyterian church near Blair. Her husband, W.A. Jenkins, preceded her in death in 1959. Three daughters also preceded her in death. She is survived by 2 sons, Jake Jenkins of Stamford, TX, & Floyd Jenkins of Lubbock, TX, 5 daughters, Mrs Minnie Ridings & Mrs Carrie Medkief, both of Tuttle, Mrs Hattie Lawlie of Fairfield, Calif, Mrs Gladys Stevens of Lelia Lake, TX, & Miss Nelie Jenkins of Oklahoma City. Hardin Greene & Mrs Sharon Greene provided the music. Pallbearers were grandsons, R.D. Ridings, Bill Jenkins, Eddie Jenkins, Don Stephens, Lloyd Stephens, & Jerry Stephens. Honorary pallbearers were James Jenkins, Terry Stephens, & Joe Jenkins. Interment was in the Tuttle Fairview cemetery.
