Jackie Dunn Pate passed away Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, in Minden, after an extended illness.

Graveside services were held at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at 2 p.m. with Bro Jim Frazier officiating and prayer by Hospice Chaplin Jerry West.

Jackie was born Jan. 17, 1935, in Mercury, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Minden, a member and preschool Sunday School Teacher at Northside Church of Christ and served 25 years as a Girl Scout leader.

Her mother, Willie B. Dunn; father, E.B. Dunn; and brother, Jerry Dunn preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Charles A. Pate of Minden; daughters, Sonya Pate Martin and husband David of Minden, Cindy Pate Miles and husband Thomas of Minden and Janie Pate Peak and husband Joe of Huntsville, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to Dr. Mark Haynes and Agape Hospice Group. Please make donations to Hospice at 805 Homer Road, Minden, Louisiana, 71055.
