Margaret Kelly was born 12/30/1918 to Mary Elizabeth Maloney (Kelly) (Aug 18, 1894 - Jan 9, 1984) and Edward Patrick Kelly (Jan 19, 1890 - 1979).

Margaret Kelly Pasco, age 91, died on Thursday, (September 2), at Brittany Farms Healthcare Center in New Britain. She was predeceased by her husband of fifty-six years, James Otis Pasco, Sr., their son, Brian Kelly Pasco, her sister, Mary Kelly Beaudoin, and her son-in-law, Carl P. Palazzotto, Sr. Margaret was the daughter of Edward Patrick Kelly and Mary Maloney Kelly. A life-long resident of New Britain, she graduated from New Britain High School in 1938. Her first job after high school was at Russell and Erwin. While her husband James served in the United States Army during World War II, Margaret was a telephone operator at Harvey and Lewis. Being a telephone operator was the perfect job for her, as talking was her favorite activity. After her children were much older, she also worked as a telephone operator at the former New Britain General Hospital and at the former Central Connecticut State College from where she retired after twenty years. When her children were in school, Margaret served on the PTA and Mothers' Club of many Catholic elementary schools and was also a member of the Rosary Guild, the Altar Society, and the Merry Wives Club. After raising five children, she and her husband spent countless hours, especially on Sundays, involved with St. Joseph's Church. Many people will know that she and James were the readers at the 11:00 mass for years. Margaret was most proud of being a Minister of the Eucharist. She was fiercely loyal to her family and to her Irish heritage. She was almost as proud of her husband's English heritage, and that she influenced him to convert from the Episcopalian religion to the Catholic religion. Her family will remember the many poems and letters she wrote for special occasions as well as her love of musicals, Bing Crosby, and the Goodspeed Opera House. Margaret is survived by her son James O. Pasco, Jr., and his wife Cybel and James' children James O. Pasco III and Sarah Pasco and Sarah's children Jayden and Kaylee. She leaves her daughter Marcia Pasco, and Marcia's children, Marisa Palazzotto and Carl P. Palazzotto, Jr., and his wife Natasha Valdez-Palazzotto and their children Maximilian and Alexis. She also leaves her son Edward C. Pasco, and his children Nora Pasco and Brigid Pasco. She leaves her son John C. Pasco II and his wife Evelyn, and John's children Raymond Pasco and Margaret Pasco, and Evelyn's children Esther Quintana, Leilannie Quintana, and Michelle Soto and her husband Alex Soto and their children, Jeremiah and Amaliah. Margaret also leaves her six siblings, Edward Kelly, Rita Burns, Regina Thomasen, Jack Kelly and his wife Heidi, Joseph Kelly, Joan Kelly Coyle, and her brother-in-law, Wally Beaudoin, John Pasco; sister-in-laws, Unice Crosby, and Carol Radil, as well as all of their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by friends who were very special to her, Phyllis Shantz, Maggie Greene, MaryRose Pasco, and Joan LaRocca.
