Zelda Parry Casper, born November 23, 1927, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Thomas Reese and Violet Michie Parry, passed away on March 18, 2004, at the home of her daughter.

Zelda suffered from Alzheimers and a short battle with cancer.

She was raised in Provo, Utah, where she attended B. Y. High and then B. Y. U. for two years.

At B. Y. U., she met her sweetheart, Floyd, when he ran over her toe as she stood on the corner!

Zelda married Floyd Darwin Casper on June 6, 1946.

Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on June 6, 1963.

They settled in Provo, where they raised nine children.

After the death of her husband, she met and shared many wonderful years with her companion, Bernel Cox, enjoying her family, hunting, fishing, and traveling.

Zelda relocated to Moroni where she was employed by Moroni Feed.

She later relocated to Burley, Idaho, where she was employed by the potato plant.

Her final residence was in Kearns, Utah, where she lived with her son, Floyd.

She loved her church callings, her family, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. Zelda worked with the Angel Tree program for many years.

When the Lord caressed her in His arms, she went peacefully at home, surrounded by her family.

Zelda is survived by her children: Darwin Parry (Diane) Casper, Orem, UT; Floyd Douglas Casper, Kearns, UT; Pamela L. (Myron) Bird, Salt Lake City; Timothy Reese (Annette) Casper, Kirkland, WA; Randall Kent Casper, Salt Lake City; Dennis Mark (Susan) Casper, Spanish Fork, UT; Hollee Gay (Kenneth) Anderson, Mt. Pleasant, UT; Philip Lynn (Brenda) Casper, American Fork, UT; and Angela Kay (Mathew) Kirk, Lewiston, ID.

She is also survived by 37 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Venita Roylance, of Provo, and Geneal Thomas, of Manila, the Philippines; and sisters-in-law, Arla (William) Brown, and Elvera (Kenneth,dec.) Casper.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and by her sister, Jolene McQueen.

The family extends gratitude and thanks to the doctors and nurses that took care of their precious loved one.

A special thanks to the wonderful women at Life Path Hospice Anna, Pam, October and Brandy Thank you, you are surely angels sent from God.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at 11 a.m., at the Berg Mortuary Drawing Room Chapel, 185 E. Center Street, Provo.

Friends may call at the Mortuary Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. as well as Tuesday morning one hour prior to services.

Interment, Provo City Cemetery.
