Funeral services of Joseph Elmer Parnell, 60, a railroad employee, of Norfork who died Monday in the Missouri Pacific Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., will be held at Galatia tomorrow at 2 pm with Rev. O. L. Ford officiating.
Mr. Parnell died following a two-weeks illness. He entered the St. Louis hospital Saturday and underwent surgery.
Born Oct. 10, 1895, he was a lifetime resident of Baxter County and was the son of the late Eddie and Lizzie Childers Parnell. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Among the survivors are a brother, Henry Parnell of Mammoth Springs; a sister, Mrs. Annie Schafer of Washington; and 16 nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in Galatia cemetery, under direction of the Roller Funeral Home.
