ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Bertie Biggers Parks Carothers, 90, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006, at White Oak Manor in York. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Beersheba Presbyterian Church cemetery in Clover, with the Rev. Charles Mitchell officiating. A native of York, Mrs. Carothers was a daughter of the late Robert Andrew Biggers and Etta Lula Boyd Biggers. She was a member of Ebenezer ARP Church and was retired from Thornwell Home for Children in Clinton. She was the widow of John Floyd Parks and Robert Frank Carothers. Surviving are her son, Michael Parks of Rock Hill; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home and other times at the home of Michael Parks, 5056 Hampton Ridge. Memorials may be made to Thornwell Home for Children, P.O. Box 60, Clinton, SC 29325.
