Julian Tyson Parks, 75, entered into eternal rest on November 20, 2003. Burial will be held at Carolina Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC.,WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, Sunday from Five until Eight O'clock, where a Fleet Reserve service will be held at Seven O'clock.

Born in Ty Ty, GA. on February 13, 1928, he was the son of Earl Cook Parks and Era Tyson Parks.

Mr. Parks was retired US Navy Chief Petty Officer SFC, Shipfitter, 30 years. Retired civil service for the Navy commissary, Naval Base, Charleston. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII and Korea. He was a member of Ty Ty Baptist Church, Ty Ty, GA. He was a member of VFW, American Legion Post 112( Audit Committee on American Legion), and Fleet Reserve Branch #50(served on Homeboard, Home Audit and Board of Directors).

Surviving are his wife - Ruth Wood Parks of Charleston, SC; children- Deborah Parks Taylor and her husband Steve of Charleston, SC, Julia Parks DeWitt and her husband Malcolm of Charleston, SC, Julian Earl Parks and his special friend Laura Setzer of Summerville, SC, Linda Jennings and her husband Bill of Auburn, New York, Phyllis Tubbs of Charlottesville, VA, Steve Irving and his wife Shirley of Gordonsville, VA, two sisters-Peggy Evans of Ty Ty, GA, and Earline Taylor of Tifton, GA, 15 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. Julian was preceded in death by a daughter- Era Kay Parks.
