AYERS, Wanda Parker, 68, of Moneta, died Friday, April 12, 1996 at her home. She was a native of Botetourt Co. and with her husband owned and operated Ayers TV Service of Roanoke. After retiring, they moved to Smith Moutain Lake. Mrs. Ayers attended Mt. Ivy Baptist Church and was a charter member of Lake Quilters Guild and a member of the Franklin Co. Home Extension Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Edgar Ayers. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Chuck Millard, Hillsborough, N.C.; a son and daughter-in-law, Grover and Linda Ayers, Goodview; granddaughter, Belinda Ayers; two grandsons, Kevin Millard and Chip Millard and wife, Kris; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and George Dillon, Fincastle; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 1 p.m. Monday, April 15, 1996 with Pastor Rick Poland and the Rev. Carl V. Woodie officiating. Burial will be in Godwin Cemetery, Fincastle. The family suggests memorials be made to the Hospice of Franklin Co., 124 Floyd Ave., Rocky Mount, Va. 24151. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel after noon Sunday where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
