Born February 24, 1919 in American Fork, the only child of Leslie and Rhoda Searle Parker.
She married Leon L. Scott on September 23, 1940 in the Salt Lake Temple; later divorced. She married Dale P. Peters on July 3, 1956. He died on April 14, 1986.
Jean graduated from AF High School and attended LDS Business College. She worked for Beneficial Life and 35 years for Utah Power. She was a member of the Ladies Literary Guild.
She was an active member of the LDS Church serving in many capacities. She served 13 years as a temple worker in the Provo Temple. Jean loved to travel. All who knew Jean loved her because of her unconditional love and serving heart. She had many talents, her most outstanding being that of a peacemaker.
Survived by her daughter, Sandra Jensen (Gary), American Fork; daughter-in-law, Linda Scott Gray (Gary), American Fork; stepdaughter Peggy Cunningham (Jim) Lehi; stepson Michael Peters (Diane), Pleasant Grove; 15 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Jean is now happily reunited with her parents; her only son, Robert Leon Scott; and great-grandson Eric Nelson.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the American Fork 23rd Ward Chapel, 680 North 350 West. Visitations will be held on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork and on Saturday at the Church from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m.
Interment: American Fork City Cemetery.
