Our loving Dad, Grandpa and Great Grandpa, E. Moyle Parker, 89, passed away peacefully on Friday August 31, 2012 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 1, 1922 in American Fork, Utah, the son of Ernest Mitchell and Edna Myrtle Moyle Parker. He married Deane Case on August 21, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Moyle graduated from American Fork High School before serving as a Flight Officer in the Air Force during WWII. After his service he graduated from Utah State Agricultural College in Industrial Education. He began his teaching career at Duchesne High School where he taught for a year before moving to American Fork High School teaching industrial arts, drafting and math for 34 years. He worked summers for the school district, building cabinetry, and as a Mount Timpanogas Cave guide.
Moyle loved the outdoors and spent time camping, hunting and fishing. He was known for his abundant garden and generosity with the produce. In addition to gardening, Moyle loved woodworking. He designed and built his home along with helping many family members with their homes. Moyle raised his family and passed away on the same block that he was born.
Moyle was a hardworking man and will be remembered for his service to family, neighbors and church. As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served faithfully as a clerk in several bishoprics, in the YM's presidency and as a dedicated home teacher.
Moyle is survived by his six daughters: Patrecia Kaye (Clint) Allen, Washington; Nadeane (Ron) Anderson, Lindon; Nancy (Robbie) Chidester, Highland; Marie (David) Anderson and Sharon (Randy) Haskell of American Fork; Marianne (Jeff) Shows, Louisiana; 26 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Deane; and siblings, Faye Loveless; Grace Taylor; Helen Parker; and Frank Parker.
Funeral services will be held Thursday September 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the American Fork 3rd Ward, 185 North 350 West. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 1000 North, American Fork and Thursday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial in the American Fork Cemetery.
