Marion was born Aug. 19, 1901 in Brown Co., IL, the daughter of Samuel Pleasant and Bertha (Rettig) Parker. She moved with her family at the age of 2 to Arkansas for 2 years. They then moved to Nebraska, living near Overton for 1 year, then to south of Minden for 1 year and then to southwest of Minden to the Covington farm where she was raised. She attended Kearney Co. Public Schools and graduated from Minden High School in 1919. She taught school in Kearney Co. Public Schools near Heartwell.
Marion married Leonard H. Beisheim, Aug. 23, 1920 at the home of her parents at the Covington farm. They lived in Kearney Co. on Leonard's parent's farm until 1922 when they moved to Cambridge, NE. They then moved to Curtis, NE while Leonard attended the Agricultural College of the University of NE. They then moved to western NE and have resided near Broadwater.
In 1935, Marion became a charter member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Broadwater, where she was active in the Lutheran Church Women, of which she held all of its offices over the years. For a number of years she was secretary of the Sunday School, served as pianist for the church for many years and was the church organist from Febr. 1953 until 1980.
Survivors include her daughter, Fern Bartels of Bangor, MI; sons, L. Harvey Beisheim of Dallas, TX, and Robert E. Beisheim of Westminster, CO, 15 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leonard, 1 daughter, Clarabelle Jean, 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
