Gerald D Parker was born in Kansas. Geralds parents were Oral D Parker and Violet Esther Morrison. In 1933 Gerald, his brother George Leland and their dad Oral Parker moved to Kit Carson, Colorado. When Gerald was nineteen he went to serve in World War Two like his older brother with United States Army. After the war he married Eula Lee Knight on March 22, 1947 in Sharon Springs, Kansas. From this marriage they had four children Gary, Larry, Joey and Edna.

Gerald had one brother and four sisters. George Leland Parker, Marie Oraline Parker Smith, Winifred E Parker Kellett, Phyllis F Parker Walters and Juanita M Parker Woodward

Gerald had several half brothers and sisters.
