A resident of Baker and a native of Clinton, she died at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008 at Community Care Center in Baker. She was 90.

Religious service, conducted by minister Dinat Haney of St. John Baptist Church, pastored by the Rev. Donald R. Ruth. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens.
Survived by three daughters, Sarah Ferguson and husband Willie, Edna Tate and husband Sterling, and Fannie Neff and husband Charles L.; a sister, Pearl Whitehead, of Detroit; two brothers, John Washington and wife Janice, of Baton Rouge, and Larry Watson and wife Mary, of Houston; nine grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Teet Parker; a daughter, Mary L. Kelley; and husband, Arthur Lee Kelley.
