Moses Parker is buried in an unmarked grave in Newlin Cemetery, the family cemetery of his close neighbors. Alongside the grave of Moses is his wife Hattie, who died of cholera in 1892. Distraught from grief at his wife's death, Moses committed suicide. The third unmarked grave in the group is most likely the grandson of Moses and Hattie, the son of their daughter Mary and her husband George F. Tyler. The infant boy was born in 1896 and died shortly thereafter. Current theory holds that Mary and George Tyler brought their deceased baby to be buried alongside his grandparents, and that George, a prolific rock collector, marked the three graves with rocks not native to the area.
