SOUTH OGDEN – Ida Chambers, 95, returned with honor to her loving Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 5, 2006. Ida was born August 23, 1910 in Niter, Idaho, a daughter of Oscar Fullmer and Lovenia Parker. She graduated from Grace High School and Henager Business College. She was employed for many years as an executive secretary, retiring from the I.R.S. in 1976. On May 27, 1939, she married Woodrow Herbert in Burley, Idaho. They were blessed with a daughter, Maxine Annette.

As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in all the organizations. Because of her great love for children, her favorite calling was that of ward Nursery Leader. Children everywhere adored her.

She was a member of the University Women's Organization, Ogden B.P.W., Federal Women's Club, Women's Legislative Council and several bridge groups.

Ida's flower garden was a masterpiece. She shared her lovely crocheted items with many. Facing life's challenges with a happy heart, Ida was an example to all of enduring to the end.

She will be missed greatly by her beautiful family of which she was so proud; her daughter, Annette Kimball-Hemsley, five grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Manor Care Health Facility and to other caregivers and visitors for their loving and compassionate care.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
