Funeral Services Are Held Thursday for Mrs. Olive Brown, 96
Olive Amanda Parker, was born in the town of Deerfield, Waushara county, July 16, 1855 and passed away at her home at Hancock August 13, 1951, at the age of 96 years and 28 days.
She was married to George Brown on February 18, 1873. To this union eight children were born. One son passed away in childhood and a daughter in 1926.
In 1899, she with her husband and family, moved to Veefkind, Clark county, where her husband passed away in 1914 and where she lived until 1920 when she returned to Hancock.
Those left to mourn are two sons, Joseph Hollis, of Hancock and four daughters, Mrs. Phoebe Brown of Wilton, Mrs. Gordon (Viola) Davis of Chill, Mrs. Laura Wilcott of Duthie, Idaho and Mrs. Delbert (Pearl) Holmes of Hancock, also several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, beside a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon, August 16, at the Hamilton Funeral Home by the Rev. H. H. Ferris. Burial was made in Fish Lake cemetery. Pallbearers were Ed Fredrick, Judson Fitzgerald, Morland Spaulding, George Meirhofer, Will and Fred Brown.
