Almetta Fay Parker, 95, of Castle Rock passed away May 30, 2010, at St. John Medical Center.
She was born to John and Lola (Hastings) Marquis Dec. 4, 1914, in Winchester, Idaho, where she grew up and attended school.
Mrs. Parker moved to Kelso in the 1940's where she worked as a waitress at Daggy's Restaurant and as a homemaker. She enjoyed watching sports on TV, gardening, playing the piano and writing music. She loved attending Kelso Assembly of God Church.
Mrs. Parker is survived by a son, Clint Parker of Longview; and a grandson, Matt Parker of Buffalo, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dahl-McVicker Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home.
