Mar. 7, 1947 San Diego San Diego County California, USA
Edyth's first name was often spelled as Edith, but the cemetery records, the California Death Index, and her death notice spelled it as Edyth. Some family trees list her as Edith Jane Parker, but I haven't yet found any record of her middle name. Her second son's birth record has Edith J. Parker as her maiden name. The California Death Index has Finnerty as her mother's maiden surname, and McBeth as her father's surname.
The date of her birth above is from the California Death Index, but the 1900 census had March 1868 (her age varied a few years up and down in the next four censuses).
She was first married to Edward Bevan, and they had two children together: Albert Edward Bevan, Sr. (1892-1959) and Maurice Llewellen Bevan (1895-1960). Both sons were born in Salt Lake City, Utah. She next married Hugo August Karrasch (in 1901), but they had no children during their short time together. On the record of her marriage to Hugo, she was listed as Edith B. Parker -- she probably started using her maiden name after divorcing Edward.
She never remarried after her second marriage failed in 1909. Instead, she appears to have devoted her life to being a Nurse and a psychic medium who often lectured about spiritual matters in the San Diego area.
She had eight grand-children and one great-grandchild when she died.
