Alfonzo Parker Jr. NORFOLK
Alfonzo "Pig" Parker Jr., 80, of the 300 block of Brambleton Ave., passed away peacefully Aug. 19, 2005, in the hospital with his loving family by his side. Alfonzo was born in Norfolk and served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife, Estella G. Parker; a sister, Evelyn Blancher; a son, Tony L. Green; two daughters, Beverly M. Biddle and Alvoria L. Green; and nine grandchildren, a great-grandchild, friends and a special niece and nephew, Ruby Hendricks and Robert Franklin, all of Norfolk. A funeral of remembrance will be conducted by the Rev. Lemuel Williams at noon Monday in Graves Funeral Home, Norfolk. Burial will be at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. A celebration of his life will be held at Young’s Park Senior Center, Whittaker Lane, Norfolk, from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Monday.
