LUCILLE LAVERNE ARNETT
Lucille LaVerne Arnett, 85, of Macon, died saturday morning, January 10, 2004 Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon.
Mrs. Arnett was born on October 1, 1918 in Macon County, daughter of William Voliney and Lois Durham Paris. She graduated from Macon High School in 1937. On February 12, 1939 north of Excello, she married Gaylord Newton Arnett. She was a joint member of the First Christian Church of Macon and Fairview Christian Church at Cox Post Office. She worked at toastmaster for over 30 years when she retired.
Surviving are two sons; Murrell and wife, Jeanne Arnett of Excello; Cecil and wife, Janet Arnett of Excello; one daughter Linda and her husband, Ted Clardy of Excello; nine grandchildern, 11 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband on April 25, 1980; an infant son, Kenneth Gaylord, and one brother Gerald Paris.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2004, at the first Christian church in Macon with Rev. Jim Bolin officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Cox Post Office. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. tonight at the Hutton and McElwain Funeral home in Macon. The Family suggests memorials to the Fairview Cemetery Association.
