Francis A. Panariello, Jr. Age 76 of Wilmington, DE, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 20, 2002, surrounded by family.
Mr. Panariello, along with his brother Angelo, owned Panariello Brothers Decorating Center in Wilmington for many years. Frank passionately attended the traditional Tridentine Latin Mass at St. Judes Roman Catholic Church in Eddystone, PA. Frank was a longtime treasurer of Columbus Monument Committee and was its Man of the Year in 1971.
He was a 3rd Degree Member of Bishop Monaghan Council #2872 and a 4th Degree Member of Archbishop Fitzmorris Assembly, Order Sons of Italy in America and Prince of Piedmont Lodge.
Frank was predeceased by his father and mother, Francis and Erminia Panariello and his sister, Rose P. Ferrigno.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Josephine George Panariello; sons Francis, III and Michael, both of Wilmington, Salvatore of Hockessin; daughter, Joanne Ryan of Newark; and his 4 beloved grandchildren, Sammy, Kristin, Juliana and Nicholas.
Frank is also survived by his 2 brothers, Domenic and Angelo, both of Wilmington.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, February 25 at 9:30 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & DuPont Streets, Wilmington. Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Cemetery in Bear. Friends may call on Sunday from 5-8 pm at the Corleto Latina Funeral Home, 808 N. Union Street.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions to St. Anthony of Padua Church, 901 N. DuPont Street, Wilmington, 19805 or St. Judes Roman Catholic Church, 1402 E. 10th Street, Eddystone, PA 19022.
