Mrs. Booth was born on June 24, 1916, in Watertown, Conn., one of seven children and the daughter of the late Augustine and Eva Palmer. Married to Carl S. Booth in 1935, she raised her four children in Oakville where she was a member of Union Congregational Church for 75 years.
